Woman sentenced to die by stoning:
On 19th of August the Court of Appeal a Sharia court of appeal in Funtua Nigeria uphold the sentence of death by stoning imposed on Amina Lawal. Amina Lawal has been sentenced to death by stoning for having a child out of wedlock. We are hoping with enough pressure from agencies in NZ and around the world we can overturn this decision and let this poor woman have her life and hopefully freedom, and let her child have its mother. Please send a letter to the Nigerian authorities opposing this brutal punishment.
